The club was founded in 1984 as a single Under 11 team, under the name Shirebrook Scouts. The players from this original team decided upon a name change and so since season 1985/6 the club has been known as Shirebrook Rangers.
The Club has grown substantially over the years and now consist of 15 teams, across 10 age groups, from ages 9 to 18.
This growth has included a move in to girls football, originally in 2006/07 with an under 14s team and for season 2008/09 we have added an under 11 team..
The Club paly at a variety of pitches in Shirebrook and surrounding villages, on a Saturday for the boys and Sunday for the girls, with open admission to all games under the usual Child protection rules (no photos, no videos etc).
It is hoped that in the near future the Club can move to a ground that can accomodate all of our teams.
The Club Committee consists of 16 members, who convene on a regular basis to ensure smooth runnings of the club. This site was built to raise awareness of the club, and to allow managers another communication route to all their players. Also listed are all the kind sponsors of the teams and players, as well as information about joining the club, as a player or sponsor.
