| BIOGRAPHY |
A self confessed Football Fanatic Andy started playing football from a young age initially for his schools, Park Road juniors and Shirebrook Comp. He started playing local youth football at 13 and mens football at 16.
Following the retirement of his Sunday team Manager, Jim Betts, Andy took over the Manager and Secretary jobs for his Sunday team and has been doing this now for 20 years. He formed Shirebrook RBL football team in 1993 is currently Chairman and Manager of their B team.
Andy first got involved in Youth football when his son began playing for Woodhouse Rangers, where he helped out with Coaching. After this team folded he started a Shirerbook RBL team at u13 and then moved this team to Shirebrook Rangers at under 15s and joined up with former Rangers Manager Bob Price. This team were succsful and won division 2 at u15 level.
After this team finished at Under 16 Andy dropped back down the age groups and begam Coaching/Managing the new Shirerbook Rangers under 9s, and is still with this team. Ater 4 years he has guided them to Division 1 runners up last year at under 12.
