An experimental side lacking experience were still far superior to the opposition who only managed one real strike all game, fortunately it was off target.
Going forward the team showed real quality, with some good passing movement and plenty of efforts on target.
The first half was pretty much one way traffic, Vaughan opening, then quickly adding a second, from then on it was a goal frenzy, amazingly though we only finished with 7.
The second half "entertainment" was Jamie B having a real run in with the opposition number 9, on numerous occasions exchanging words in a heated tussle.
But the real highlight came in the last 5 minutes when Alfie had a cameo in attack, one half chance came his way, luckily for his dad he didn't connect who'd dangled a £20 goal bonus if he could score.
And then the season started...
